Natural Gas Storage
Definition of Regions
Basically the antural gas storage regions are divided into three areas: 
(1) The Producing Region which consists of the states which supply the majority of the natural gas consumed in the lower 48 states.
(2) The Eastern Consuming Region which consists of all states east of the Mississippi River which are not in the Producing Region
(3) The Western Consuming Region consisting of all states not in the Producing Region region whcih are west of the Mississippi River.
The regions consist of the following states:
(1) Producing Region: Alabama, Arkansas, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas.
(2) Consuming Region East: Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, Nebraska, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia.
(3) Consuming Region West: California, Colorado, Minnesota, Montana, Oregon, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming.
